Hello, Friends, We are officially home from vacation and back to our regular routine. Truthfully, we were sad to leave Sugar Grove, NC, but very thankful for all the beautiful memories we made. From the weather, to the snow and extended time with my family. It was the best five days, and I am so grateful to have done it with my Little Penny. For our first vacation of 2020, we decided to go to North Carolina because it’s a short flight, and we were looking forward to a very relaxing getaway. We flew into Raleigh/Durham, NC (RDU), which it’s a two-hour non-stop flight from Tampa. Once we arrived, we rented a car with a car seat and drove for three-hours to Sugar Grove. For our stay, we rented a gorgeous cabin on Airbnb with a Million Dollar View of the mountains. I highly recommend staying here if you can. It’s a three bedroom home that sleeps seven guest. It also provides washer and dryer as well as a play area for small children. The house is about 5 miles away from a town called Boone. When we arrived on Saturday afternoon before heading to the cabin, we decided to drive up to Beech Mountain, and it was snowing! I had never seen snow before, and it was such a magical feeling! Sharing this precious moment with my family was everything I could have ever imagined! During our trip, we went skiing. I had never skied before, and I must say it’s challenging, but also very fun! It was also Little Penny’s first-time skiing and she had a wonderful time. The best part of our trip was playing in the snow, making snow angels, and of course, the mini snowball fight we had. On our last day, it rained, so we decided to stay in for the day. We ordered take-out and did absolutely nothing. It was the best way to end another family vacation.
I'm looking forward to our next chat! XO-Cinthia
